Following the summer adventures of CMU Design students.
Hi everyone! It’s the middle of my third week at Doblin | Monitor and we’re about to wrap up a project. I started on the last week of May and after an intense 2-day orientation, I jumped right into a project week 5/8. Doblin | Monitor, a Chicago based company, is a consulting company that focuses on strategy and innovation. In Chicago, it’s one of the major think-tanks, alongside IDEO and GravityTank. While IDEO and GravityTank are more design focused, Doblin is more strategy/financially focused, which definitely took some getting used to.

Here’s my desk! I have a work computer, a phone, and I’ve also been getting a good use out of my Wacom tablet. I’m one of two interns, and probably one of the youngest/if not the youngest person at this branch. There’s about 68 people here at the Chicago office, but it never even really seems that way since half of them aren’t always at their desks.
