The Snoop: Thankyou by Alex Laskaris
We all do it more than we like to admit - snooping around our friend’s websites looking for cool new work. Today’s find: Thankyou by Alex Laskaris (CD ‘11).
At every stage of technological advancement there have been naysayers who warn of the negative consequences inherent in increases of efficiency and mediation. Thankyou is a book about mediation that explores seven media environments in chronological order.
CD Alums featured in Flaunt

The book covers unique presentation of design work in a portfolio and features the portfolios of CMU Design alums Ash Huang (‘09) and Caryn Audenried (‘10). Unfortunately you have to buy it to see it but it is a nice publication to own!
Eye Contact: Photos from this year’s Confluence
Yesterday, the McConomy Auditorium in the University Center was packed and buzzing with prospective employers and students exchanging business cards, swiping through portfolios and conducting interviews. Local design firms like ThoughtForm and MAYA were represented as well as global firms like frog design and IDEO. This year’s reception was held in the Palm Room at Phipps Conservatory, providing the beautiful backdrop to a hectic day for everyone.
